Writing for writing
In Spanish it would just be "escribir por escribir" which translates directly to "writing for writing", which is itself incomplete. In meaning, its more like "writing for the sake of writing".
Which I do understand. I tend to write a lot in a day, and most of it goes eventually to the trash recycle bin. Some of it becomes something else. But most of my writing is just scaffolding, I can't seem to think in my mind, I have to put it down.
Which I think is the secret to actually write more, throw it all out. Expect most of it to be thrown into the landscape and become cardboard. If there's absolutely nothing, nothing, that will come out of your writing, whats left? For me, its being able to use my mind. And that's more than enough for me because it means some of what I write transforms into something more than scaffold.
(If only I was like this with sketching, one day for sure!)
